Homes where your people live

Two birds' nests on the same branch, their twigs woven together at the point where they touch, sheltering both families under one roof.

Almighty God, our Father in heaven, you put the lonely in families. We place the homes where your people live into your constant care. Please take far away from them every root of bitterness, the wish to show off, and pride. Fill them with faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, patience and devotion to you. Bind together in lasting love those who’ve been made one in marriage. Turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. And light such warm love among us all that we always treat one another with the kindness of family. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God settles the lonely in families; He leads the prisoners out to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.
