Messengers of your love

A small compass rose drawn as a flower, its needle-petals all turning to track a single sunbeam instead of pointing north, showing the heart trained to seek one thing however it's sent, with the words “make us ready for your kingdom” lettered by hand.

Lord, teach us to know you, our God, and help us do your will as we should. Give us hearts to love you, to trust you and delight in you, and to hold on to you faithfully. Don’t let any temptation draw us away from you, or any trouble drive us away. Let everything you send our way, and everything you do with us, be a messenger of your love to our souls, to bring us still closer to you and make us still more ready for your kingdom in heaven. Amen.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
