Morning prayer · 9 November

Lead me safely home

A small lantern carried by an unseen hand down a dark winding road toward a distant lit window shaped like home.

Lord, have pity on my weakness, and lead me home to heaven by a safe and peaceful road. Still, I leave everything in your hands, my dear Lord Jesus. I’m not bargaining for anything. Only, if you do bring heavier trials on me, give me more grace. Flood me with the fullness of your strength and comfort, so that those trials bring me not death, but life and salvation. Amen.

Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Psalm 9:10 (BSB)
