Morning prayer · 12 October

Giver of every good thing

A single empty sail on a small boat, drawn slack and waiting, with a few lines suggesting wind just beginning to fill it from one side.

Almighty God, you give every good thing. Without your help, all work gets nowhere, and without your grace, all wisdom is foolishness. Please don’t hold back your Holy Spirit from me in what I’m setting out to do. Help me bring you glory, and help bring both me and others to salvation. Please give me this, Lord, for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and immovable. Always excel in the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
