Morning prayer · 9 October
Under your hand

Almighty God, help us to be truly sure that we are under your hand and your protection. Relying on you, may we hope for your care whatever happens, because you never lose sight of our safety. Then we can call on you with a calm, settled mind. Through all the changes of this world, may we face every danger without fear, standing on your word, which can never fail. Leaning on your promises, may we rest in Christ, the shepherd of all your flock, into whose care you’ve given us. May he look after us and lead us along this hard road, however rough and stormy it gets, until we reach the rest of heaven, which he bought for us with his own blood. Amen.
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand.
