What belongs to you

A small bird on a bare winter branch sits unbothered beside a single berry, while a squirrel below frantically stuffs its cheeks with a huge pile of nuts, showing the ease of trusting for just what's needed versus anxious hoarding.

God, you’ve told us not to worry about the things we need for this life. So help us follow wholeheartedly after what belongs to you, and please give us everything that’s truly good for us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

Matthew 6:25 (BSB)
