Not only with our lips

A pair of open lips drawn simply at the bottom of the page, while above them a whole small figure walks out carrying a lamp into the day, showing thanks spilling from words into a life lived.

Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we don’t deserve it, but we humbly thank you with all our hearts for all your goodness and loving kindness to us and to everyone. We thank you for making us, keeping us, and for all the blessings of this life. But above all, we thank you for your love, too great to measure, in rescuing the world through our Lord Jesus Christ; for every way you give us grace, and for the hope of glory. Give us a real sense of all your mercies, so our hearts are truly thankful, and we praise you not only with our lips but with our lives, by giving ourselves to your service and living holy and right lives before you all our days. Amen.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all His kind deeds—

Psalm 103:2 (BSB)
