King of Judah. Not asking.

Son of Jotham, grandson of Uzziah, king in Jerusalem. Aram and Israel have joined forces against me, and the whole city is shaking. Isaiah keeps telling me to calm down and trust the LORD.

JerusalemFirst seen 2 Kings 15:38

To Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria. I’m your servant and your son. The kings of Aram and Israel are attacking me. Come and save me. Sending silver and gold, from the house of the LORD and the palace treasury.

The gods of Aram’s kings helped them. So I’ll sacrifice to them, and they’ll help me.
