Prophet from Shiloh. Tore up a perfectly good cloak.

A prophet of the LORD from Shiloh. I met Jeroboam alone in a field and gave him ten pieces of my new cloak. Years later, old and blind, I knew his wife by her footsteps.

The LORD is tearing the kingdom out of Solomon’s hand, and giving ten tribes to you. One tribe stays with David’s family, so David always has a lamp burning in Jerusalem, one of his own on the throne. Live God’s way like David did, and he’ll build you a dynasty that lasts too.
