The Lord told me in a vision to go and put my hands on Saul of Tarsus. I said, Lord, I’ve heard about this man. He’s here to arrest us. The Lord just said go. He’s chosen this man to take his name to the nations, to kings, and to Israel.

Lord, are you sure?
A follower of Jesus in Damascus. Devout, keeps the law, and the Jewish community here thinks well of me. Then the Lord asked me to go and lay my hands on the one man everyone was afraid of.

So I went. Put my hands on him and said, “Brother Saul.” Something like scales fell from his eyes, and he could see.
The Lord just spoke to me in a vision. Said my name. I said, here I am, Lord. He told me to go to Judas’s house on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus called Saul. He’s praying. He’s seen a vision of me coming in and putting my hands on him so he can see again.

That’s what I said. Lord, I’ve heard about this man. Everyone’s told me what he did to your people in Jerusalem. And he’s here with authority to arrest us.

He said go. This man is his chosen instrument. He’ll carry his name to the nations and their kings, and to the people of Israel. And he’ll be shown how much he has to suffer for it.
Put my hands on him. Brother Saul, I said. The Lord Jesus, the one who appeared to you on the road, has sent me. So you can see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

And the first thing he saw was me.
