Things that have happened in Dagon’s temple this week: 1. We put the captured ark next to Dagon. 2. Next morning, Dagon flat on his face in front of it. 3. Stood him back up. 4. Next morning, on his face again. Head and hands broken off.

Two mornings I’d rather forget.
I serve in the temple of Dagon, the Philistines’ god, in Ashdod. We put the captured Hebrew ark next to our god’s statue. That was a mistake.
