Five sisters. We asked.
Five sisters from the tribe of Manasseh. Our father Zelophehad died in the desert and left no sons, which meant his name and his share of the land were about to disappear. We weren’t having that. So we went to Moses.

Moses@mosesI took it to the LORD. His answer: “Zelophehad’s daughters are right.”All five of us married cousins on our father’s side. His land stayed in the clan.
Five sisters, no brothers. We reminded Eleazar and Joshua what the LORD told Moses. We got our land.
