He’s appealed to Caesar. So to Caesar he’ll go.

New job. Old case.
Porcius Festus. I took over from Felix as Rome’s governor of Judea and found a prisoner he’d left behind for two years. The charges are about their religion and some dead man called Jesus. I need something to write to the Emperor.

King Agrippa is in town for a few days, so I put Paul’s case to him. A prisoner Felix left me. When his accusers stood up, I was expecting real crimes. Nothing. Merely disputes about their own religion, and some dead man called Jesus, who Paul maintains is alive. Frankly, I was at a loss as to how one would even investigate that.
