Commander in Israel’s army, son of Jehoshaphat, grandson of Nimshi. Years ago I rode behind Ahab’s chariot and heard what the LORD said about Naboth’s field. Then a prophet poured oil on my head at Ramoth-gilead. King of Israel for twenty-eight years.
