Ninth month, so the king’s in his winter rooms with the fire going. I’m reading the scroll to him. Every three or four columns, he cuts them off with a knife and drops them in the fire. Until the whole scroll was gone.

I just read it out.
Sent to fetch things and read them out at King Jehoiakim’s court. I was the one reading the scroll the day the king burned it.
