The man born blind

I was blind, and now I see.

Born blind. I grew up begging in Jerusalem. Then a man put mud on my eyes and told me to go and wash, and I came back seeing. The Pharisees questioned me twice, questioned my parents, and threw me out. All I did was tell them what happened. Twice.

Mud on my eyes. Washed in the Pool of Siloam. I can see.

Taken to the Pharisees. Because it was the Sabbath, apparently.

They asked what I say about him, since it was my eyes he opened. He's a prophet. That's what I said.

They called me back in. Told me to give glory to God, because they know this man's a sinner. Whether he's a sinner, I don't know. One thing I do know. I was blind, and now I see.

They made me go through it all again. I'd already told them, and they didn't listen. So I asked if they wanted to become his disciples too.

Honestly. Nobody has ever heard of someone opening the eyes of a man born blind. If he weren't from God, he couldn't do anything.

He came and found me after they threw me out. First time I'd actually seen him. He asked if I believe in the Son of Man. I asked who that was. He said I've seen him. He's the one talking to me. Lord, I believe.
