Found a lad wandering round the fields out here on his own. Asked what he was looking for. My brothers, he said, they’re shepherds. They’d moved on. I heard them say they were going to Dothan, so I sent him that way.

Gave a lost lad directions once.
I work the land round Shechem. Shepherds come and go with the flocks all the time. One day a young man turned up on his own, wandering about the fields, looking for his brothers.
