From Colossae. I’ve been with Paul while he’s in chains, and now he’s sending me home with Tychicus. He calls me a faithful and dear brother. The rest of my story is in his letter to Philemon.

I was Philemon’s slave. We were apart for a while. While Paul was in chains, I came to faith through him. He calls me his son.

My name literally means useful. He knows exactly what he’s doing.
