A student of the Pharisees@pharisees.student · The temple courts

We went to him in the temple courts with some of Herod’s supporters. Started by saying we know he’s honest and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. Then asked: is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not? He asked to see the coin for the tax. Whose face is this? Caesar’s. So, he said, give Caesar what’s Caesar’s, and God what’s God’s.
