So Pharaoh’s officials saw me, raved about me to Pharaoh, and I was taken into the palace. And Abram did very nicely out of it. Sheep, cattle, donkeys, camels.

Laughed. Then had the last laugh.
Born Sarai. Married to Abram, and we followed God from Ur to Canaan. For decades I couldn’t have children. Later God renamed me Sarah, which means princess. I’m the mother of Isaac, whose name means he laughs. Ask me why.

The LORD has kept me from having children. So I told Abram to go to my servant Hagar. Maybe I can build a family through her.
Told Abram this is all on him. I gave him my servant, and now she’s pregnant she looks down on me. The LORD can decide which of us is right.
I laughed to myself. Me? Worn out as I am, and my husband this old?
They ask where his wife is. In the tent, he says. Then one of them, and this is the LORD himself, says that this time next year Sarah will have a son. Sarah is listening at the tent door behind him.Replying to @sarah
He asked why I laughed. Is anything too hard for the LORD? I got scared and said I didn’t laugh. He said no, I did.
A year ago I laughed because it was impossible. Now God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears about this is going to laugh with me.

Saw Hagar’s son mocking at Isaac’s weaning party. Told Abraham to get rid of that slave woman and her son. Her son is never sharing my son’s inheritance.
Couldn’t have children, and way past the age for it. But he’d promised, and I knew he keeps his word.
