They made me carry it.
From Cyrene, in North Africa. I was on the road into Jerusalem when the soldiers stopped me and made me carry the cross for a man they were taking out to crucify.

Simon, from Cyrene. Alexander and Rufus’s dad. I was coming in from the country. The soldiers made me carry his cross.
Coming into the city from the country and the soldiers stop me. Make me carry a cross. Not mine. His. Walking behind him with it.
