Youngest on the night shift.
I work the night shift with the flocks outside Bethlehem, with the older men. I’m the one who keeps asking questions.

He told us not to be afraid. He’s got good news, huge joy, for everyone. Today, in David’s town, a Saviour’s been born. The Messiah. The Lord.

I’m still shaking.
They’ve gone. Back into heaven. It’s just dark again, and the sheep.

Already running.
Found them. Mary, Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger. Exactly like the angel said.
Joseph@josephofnazareth · BethlehemHe’s here. A son. Mary’s wrapped him up snug and laid him in a manger. The animals’ feeding trough. There wasn’t any room for us in the guest room.Replying to @nightshift
