Give it time.

Pharisee. Teacher of the law. People across Jerusalem respect me, and I’ve trained a lot of students, including a young man from Tarsus called Saul. When the council wanted the apostles dead, I asked them to think first.

Known for

  • Telling the council to leave the apostles alone (Acts 5:38–39)
  • Teaching Paul when he was young (Acts 22:3)

Leave these men alone. If this is merely a human undertaking, it will collapse on its own. If it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You may find yourselves fighting against God.

What I said in there, I’ll say out here. Think carefully. Theudas had four hundred followers. He was killed, and it all came to nothing. Judas the Galilean, the same. So leave these men alone. If this is just human, it’ll fall apart. If it’s from God, you won’t be able to stop them. You might find yourselves fighting God.
