I’ve seen the Lord.

From Magdala, on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. I stood by the cross. On the first day of the week I went to the tomb while it was still dark, and found the stone rolled away. I thought someone had taken him. Then someone said my name.

Dawn. An earthquake. An angel rolled the stone back and sat on it. He told us he’s not here. He’s risen, just like he said.

Mary Magdalene@marymagdalene · Golgotha

We were there. Watching from a distance. Salome, the other Mary, me, and many women who’d followed him from Galilee. Mary and I saw where they laid him.

Seven evil spirits he drove out of me. Seven. So yes, I'm with him.

We followed and saw the tomb, and how his body was laid in it. Then home to get spices and perfumes ready. And on the Sabbath we rested, as the law says.

Mary Magdalene@marymagdalene · The tomb

Went to the tomb first thing. Stone rolled away, and he's not there. Then two men in these blinding clothes asked us why we're looking for someone alive in a graveyard. He's not here. He's risen.

Went to the tomb early, still dark. The stone's been moved away. Ran and told Simon Peter and John: they've taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they've put him.

Three o’clock. He cried out, so loud. Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani? My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

Then one loud cry. Father, I put my spirit into your hands. And then he died.

We followed and saw the tomb, and where they put his body. Home now to get spices and perfume ready.

Mary Magdalene@marymagdalene · The garden tomb

The stone’s been rolled away. They’ve taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they’ve put him. Running to tell Peter.

Mary Magdalene@marymagdalene

Stayed outside the tomb crying. A man asked why I’m crying, who I’m looking for. I thought he was the gardener. If you’ve moved him, please, tell me where. And he said: Mary.

It’s him. He told me not to hold on to him, he hasn’t gone up to the Father yet. Go and tell my brothers.
