Harvest time, so the Jordan's in flood. We stepped in carrying the ark, the gold chest of God's agreement with Israel, and the river stopped. Piled up in a heap miles upstream. We stood in the middle on dry ground until everyone was over.

Feet in the water first.
One of the priests who carried the ark of the LORD's agreement into the Jordan. We went first, and we stood in the middle of the riverbed until the whole nation had crossed. The Bible doesn't give my name.

Our feet. Right.
The river’s in flood. We walked in with the ark on our shoulders, our feet touched the edge of the water, and it stopped. It just stopped.
Standing in the middle of the riverbed with the ark. We don’t move till the last one of them is over.
Joshua told us to come up. Last ones out. The second our feet touched the bank, the river came back. Over the banks again, same as before.
Carried the ark into the Jordan. Now we carry it round Jericho. Every morning.
