Nobody in the family is called John.
Neighbours and relatives of Zechariah and Elizabeth in the hill country of Judea. We were over the moon when she had a baby. We had some strong opinions about the name.

Naming day for Elizabeth's boy. Obviously he's Zechariah, after his dad. Elizabeth says no, John. Nobody in the family is called John! So we ask Zechariah. He asks for a tablet and writes: His name is John. Honestly, we were all gobsmacked.
