So on the day of the battle, only Saul and Jonathan had a sword.
Saul called the roll to see who was missing. Guess who.
Then panic sweeps through the whole Philistine camp. The ground shakes. A panic sent from God.Replying to @saul
So we fought all day on nothing. Went through a wood with honey on the ground. Nobody touched it.
Then the lots. It fell on Jonathan. He said he’d only tasted a bit of honey, and now he had to die? Saul swore he would.
Day forty. Every morning and every evening this Philistine from Gath comes out and shouts for one of us to fight him. Nearly three metres tall. Nobody moves. Not one of us.
One stone. It sank into his forehead and he went down on his face. David didn’t even have a sword. He used Goliath’s own.

Can confirm the Philistines just ran.
The king sent us to David’s house to bring him in. Michal, the king’s daughter, his wife, said he was ill. King said bring him in the bed then. Pulled back the covers: an idol with goat hair on its head. He’d gone out the window.

The boy hasn’t even got a sword. A sling and a stone.

Forty days of him shouting at us, morning and evening. And it’s the shepherd boy who went down.

The prince’s own sword and bow. On the shepherd boy.
