Sees who comes in. Hears what gets said.

I work in King Solomon’s palace in Jerusalem. Petitioners, envoys, queens, the lot. You hear a lot standing at the back of the Hall of Justice.

JerusalemFirst seen 1 Kings 3:16

Known for

  • Watching Solomon judge between two mothers (1 Kings 3:16–27)
  • Seeing the queen of Sheba’s gifts (1 Kings 10:10)

Two women in front of the king today. They share a house and both had baby boys, three days apart. One of the babies died in the night. The first woman says the other one rolled on hers, then swapped them while she slept. In the morning she went to feed him and he was dead. And when she looked properly, he wasn’t hers.

Then the king asks for a sword. Someone actually brings one. Cut the living baby in two, he says. Half each.

Replying to @queen.of.sheba

She gave him a hundred and twenty talents of gold, precious stones, and the amount of spice. Honestly. Nobody’s brought that much here since.

The king’s been looking for Jeroboam. Wants him dead. Well, he’s gone. Egypt, apparently. Shishak’s taken him in.
