Early morning in the temple courts, everyone sitting round him while he teaches. Then the teachers of the law and the Pharisees shove a woman into the middle of us all. Caught in adultery, they say. Moses says stone her. So what does he say?

I'm there every festival.
I'm in and out of the temple courts in Jerusalem, especially at the festivals. You hear everything there: who's teaching, who's in trouble, who the chief priests are after.

He said this, then bent down and wrote on the ground again. And they started leaving. One by one, oldest first. In the end it was just him and her.
Whichever one of you has never sinned can throw the first stone at her.Passover's close and people are already coming up early to get purified. Everyone standing round in the temple courts is asking the same thing. Is he coming to the feast or not? The chief priests have put the word out: anyone who knows where he is has to report it, so they can arrest him.

The Pharisees have heard. Now the chief priests have called the whole Council together.

Some of the purifications take a week. So people come up early.
Word’s just gone round the festival crowd: Jesus is on his way to Jerusalem. People are heading out of the city with palm branches to meet him.

Hosanna means save us. The whole road is shouting it.
