The locusts have stripped the bark off my vines and the fig trees. The branches have gone white. Vines dried up, figs withered, pomegranate, palm, apple, all of it. Wheat and barley gone too. Gutted doesn't cover it.

I tend vines on the terraces outside Jerusalem. Family work, three generations. This year I'm tending sticks.
