High priest at Shiloh, where the ark of God is kept. I sit by the doorpost and watch who comes in. My sons Hophni and Phinehas are priests too. I know what they’re doing. I told them to stop.

I’ve told my sons. Everyone is talking about what they’re doing. If a man sins against another man, God can step in. If he sins against the LORD, who’s going to speak up for him?
