You can see their camp from the wall.
A guard on Jericho’s wall

Watching them. Every morning.
I keep watch on the wall of Jericho. The gates are shut and nobody goes in or out, so I see everything that comes near the city. The Bible doesn’t give my name.

On watch on the wall. The gates are shut and barred because of the Israelites. Nobody goes out. Nobody comes in.
They’re coming out of their camp. Armed men first. Then seven priests blowing rams’ horns. Then the gold chest, carried on poles. Then more armed men behind.

They’re walking round the wall. All the way round. The horns haven’t stopped once.

And they’ve gone back to their camp. That’s it?
Same again. Out early, once round, horns the whole way, the chest, not a word. Back to camp.

No idea.
Three days and I haven’t heard a single one of them speak.
Day five. Out, round, back.
Once round and back to camp. Six days of this.
They’re out at dawn today. Earlier than before.
